Edit: Title should be Output to Higher Resolution ATI Xpress 200M

I updated my ATI drivers/software on my dv5000z. I can now change the resolution higher then 1280 by 800. Granted it won't display it correctly (however I can move around the bigger displayed screen...shouldn't it go black like other monitors that are out of range?) but does this mean I can output corectly to perhaps an 1080p set? If that is the case I can output even higher. The highest it can go is 2048 by 1536.

With the older driver the highest I could of gone was 1280 by 800. Is this some kind of bug (or Windows is simply not hiding resolutions I can't do) or this will indeed output to resolutions beyone what my screen can do? If so...cool! If not then I can atleast trick people and say...look how high my resoultion can up to... ;)

Either way please help me understand. Thanks!
