    Overclock,amd Turion64x2,tl-60!

    Hi Guys, new to the forum, but am trying to find out if I can O/C my HP9727,tl-60 at 2.0 right now. That speed is just really slow. Core speed is 2000mhz, bus speed 200 mhz, Ht link 800mhz, on a Quanta 30D1 MB at core VID1.125V? I have downloaded CPU-Z and Clockgen, but Clockgen doesn't seem to be running the way it should be. Will it not work with the Nvidia chipset-nForce560? The Clockgen box just shows clocks and options, but no PPL or anything like what has been shown in the forum. It does show what my cpu speed ,FSB, and Ram, but that's all. No option to set any clocks up? Any help would be appreceited! Thanks! :-(!

    You shouldn't overclock a laptop. But anyway... The nForce chipsets can be overclocked by nVidia's very own Performance utility. Download nVidia Performance, install, and have fun.

    You'd be lucky to get another 300MHz out of it though. Believe me, i've tried. I eventually settled with tightening the memory timings, which made a bit of a difference with no extra heat. I've found that it runs quite good at stock (and yes my desktop computer has an overclocked Core 2 Duo, and the Turion doesn't feel slower than it). If yours feels slow i'm willing to bet there's something else at fault.
