Everyone post your luck, settings, and method for overclocking your Envy using setFSB. I know one member has been able to OC his E14 with a 450m fairly well. I haven't had any luck so far...

Lets keep discussion to a minimum and try to just post useful info for the overclock

*Edit: Still no luck for me even after following your instructions below asdad, gonna try it one click at a time now. Only difference for me is the F.13 bios

Ill post how I did it.

    I5 450m
    F.12 Bios
Windows Home Premium 64bit, HP minimal reinstall

    Program Used: Setfsb 2.2.134.98

    Clockgen: SLG505YC56DT

At first, when I clicked getfsb, everything worked fine, but when I tried to move the top slider even one notch, it just crashed. I figured that it wouldnt work, but I tried one more time moving it to 90/760 (to get 140mhz) and surprisingly it worked.

I couldnt go up on the top notch anymore or else it would freeze, so I tried moving the bottom slider next after hitting 90/760 on the top slider. Moving the bottom slider one notch at a time, I was able to reach 100/190 (Anything higher made it crash). With that, I received an OC of 2.8Ghz or so which turbo boosted up to 3.05Ghz.

Did you ever overclock your envy? I'm also following asdads instructions the only difference is I have the F.13 BIOS but I can't move it at all without my computer freezing.

When I tried moving the top slider even by 1 and clicked set FSB the computer froze and I had to hold the button down to shut it down. Is mine just not overclockable or am I doing something wrong?

    probably have a different pll.

even if you can get the fsb, doesn't mean it'll set it correctly.

I have the same thing happen.

Has anyone ever found the setFSB PLL for the HP EVNVY 15 v2 ? I currently have a 430m cpu processor.
