    Hello guys,

I was wondering if we can give some more juice to p8400 on a dv4t?

I believe there is no volt/mhz change menu on the bios.

so it should be a software, right?

    thanks

I'm curious because you aren't first person writing about overclocking laptop. How to resolve heat problems in closed structure?

Well, it depends on the system actually, mine is fully loaded but it does not have a 7200rpm hdd or a 9600m GT graphics card. So u can use a cooling pad or sth for reasonable overclocks..

For instance my brother has a dv5t c2d t8400, 250gb 7200rpm hdd and a 512 9600M graphics card. If you play a game for 10 mins, it becomes hot as hell. We always remove battery and remote control to increase the area that can decrease the heat,

by the way I strongly suggest removing battery, because heat leaves permanent damage to the battery cells...

    any ideas???

No software can overclock it at the moment. Its not advisable to overclock it anyway because small benefits and high risks.
