I would really advise you not to overclock that card. It's integrated into the motherboard, and if you overclock it (it that's possible in the first place), that part of the motherboard will heat up, and by any chance that your card fries or burns out due to overclocking, you are looking at replacing the entire motherboard, not just the video card.

You dont like danger do you?!
so, how do I do it?

Well Omega drivers don't work, at least they didn't when i reinstalled XP pro on my v2000. The only drivers that installed properly were the ones supplied with the notebook, which blows goats. I can't get my ATI tools tray to run, i get an error now upon bootup.
Overclocking this card seems pointless imo, you can up the memory via the bios (which you know), but besides that don't fool with it. -
Ati Tool will overcklock the core of 200m only, it's at 300 and one guy at the zv6000forums.com overcklocked his to 350 and ran doom 3 for 30 minutes until it died.. So overcklocking this thing does not do much.

Good luck -
I used the latest catalyst drivers from ATI, the ones on compaqs site are older. the catalyst control panel (or whatever that app aside from the driver is called) doesnt work tho, just the driver and the ati try icon work. I couldnt get riva tuner or rage3d tuner thing to work at all.
You are correct in the memory speed having more to do with it than anything. from 133 to 200mhz 3dmark01 went from 2700 to 4200 for me (turning on T1 timings from a64tweaker). I just wish that I could get T1 to stick after I suspend the laptop... -
So check this out guys, as I mentioned before I installed XP Pro when I got my v2000. During setup of drivers and what not, I was not able to install/use the Omega drivers. It wouldn't recognize my card as ATI, I am pretty sure that Catalyst did the same thing. Now I am on the HP supplied sheit drivers off the CD, and I get this error.
"Access violation at address 004A4433F in module "atitray.exe" Read of adress 000000020"
AND
"Can not load low level device driver,. Please restart application."
After these two errors popup after startup, the ATI tray goes away. As we all know the HP support is worthless for stuff like this, any ideas??????????????

so negative!

Eh, don't bother, its better to get a better video card in the first place.

obviously its better to get one in the 1st place, I just enjoy tweaking and stuff and would like to just see if I can get it to go faster.
