    Hi all,

    Need some help here.
I got problems with my laptop HP Pavillion dv3-2011TX.
It's only 8 months since the first time I bought this laptop.

I use it to play Dragon Age: Origins with a minimum setting, and only last around 10-15 mins before suddenly it turned off.
Same thing happens when I used it to play Supreme Commander 2 & Demigod.
However, it doesn't lag when I use it to play those games with low setting.

CPU temp is 75-80 C when I turn it on again.
CPU temp around 45-50 C when idle, around 60-65 when I use it for browsing and using other light programs.
It's Ok, when I use it to play DOTA, but the fan seems working on a maximum performance already.
I have cleaned the fans up already, but the same things still happen.

Is it possible that my Graphic card is not good enough to play those games?
Is there anyone that have the same problem as I do? Any solution on this?

    thanks in advance! :)

I think there may be something wrong with it.

If your turning it on and its at 80C, that means when it actually shut off it was much higher. 80C wont do that. A temp of around 120C will i believe.
What is the graphics card temp?

Try getting the tempuatures before it shuts off for us :)

And im guessing you have all new drivers and the games are compatible.

And BTW, wrong section. It will be moved by a Mod ;)

    Apologize for the wrong section.

how to check the graphic card temp?
I used Netbook Hardware Control to check CPU temp, but it doesn't show any graphic temp.

Well,, I only updated my Windows, Antivirus and NVidia drivers, (never update the other hardware components) and I believe those games I mentioned are compatible with windows vista, the OS I use now.
However, I never tried to update BIOS, since I am not really familiar with updating BIOS.
Could that be the cause?
