I just got mine in the mail today and it feels like the dvd player is not secure. I can push it in a few milimeters and it jiggles. is this normal?

    Thanks for the replies.
    Another question:
When the screen is up and when you pick up the laptop or move it around, does it make a cheap plastic creaking noise? It's starting to annoy me.

I don't remember my 700m making any of these creakin noises. I dunno if its because of the size or not.

yes mine does that as well, it really think it's because of the size, so much pressure being exerted from the screen to the base is probably the cause of the creaking noises. I just bought this NB a few weeks ago at Sam's and thinking of returning it for the L2000. I carry around this NB often and i think it would be better for me to get the 14 inch one. hopes this helps!
