    Hi there

i am the proud owner of a brand new HDX18T. Everything seems to be functioning fine except the following:

Whenever I plug in headphones, the audio from the PC speakers continues to play. I can hear everything in the headphones AND the PC speakers at the same time. I spoke with an HP support tech who suggested reloading the driver which I did. The problem remains. I am hoping that this is a software setup somewhere that I just haven't found yet, Ideas?

    TIA
    Darrell

What application are u using to playback audio?

some audio softwares themselves let speakers and headphones both play together.

In this case, I am using Windows Media player I have also tried upgrading the BIOS, reinstalling the IDT audio driver and different headphones.

I will do a complete reinstall using the HP recovery program this weekend. Will let everyone know how that goes.

I will also try to fine a set of headphones with a different (read:slightly longer) plug on the off chance that the two earbud headphones I have tried were not long enough.

I am running Vista Home Premium 64bit
