    hi,

ok so basically i need some help. whenever i try to open a pdf file from the web, theres always an error. at first i thought this was a norton problem just blocking it, but i recently uninstalled norton and am using AVGfree.

anyways the error is just like at the litttle left hand corner saying "error in page" or seomthing like that. and nothing is displayed.

anyone know how i could fix this?

This should be in software. I can't move it but a mod will. :)

Make sure that you have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    Reinstall Acrobat Reader.
What browser are you using? Try both IE and Firefox to see if it's the browser or the Reader

You mentioned that you're using Adobe Reader 6? Latest version is 7.0.7. Likelyhood of this being a browser related problem is pretty good IMO. After all it is a beta meaning it is feature incomplete with no guarantees that everything will work with it. I have stayed away from IE7 since I first tried it and it completely hosed my Windows Media Player 10 settings, which was only fixed after uninstalling IE7 and doing a couple of uninstall/reinstalls of WMP.

I agree with the suggestion of installing another browser, as already mentioned, such as Firefox and updating Adobe Reader to the latest version. Try that and let us know what happens.

I bet it's IE7 that is causing the problem.
