    Palm rest--plastic?

    While the cover over the speakers appears to be aluminum, the palm rest and chassis around the keyboard appear to be plastic or a "metallicized" plastic. Is that right?

    Unfortunately, that's true. Wait until the paint starts peeling away or gets rubbed off. :(
