I bought it from HP website about 2 weeks ago, today I opened only MSN and IE, it suddenly panic with white display

Only power cycle can work, not sure it's a hw or sw problem.

Any unlucky guy ever come across that as me?... How can it be?

Screen connector come loose? Try an external to see if it's your GPU or LCD.

does it always do this, like check it in the BIOS too and also in the recovery partition. If it works there then there is probably a software issue with windows or drivers. And if it always does this then it is probably a connector issues as the previus poster mentioned.

This has happened to me as well on two different v3000z notebooks. The first time it happened I returned the system, the second time it happened on the replacement as well. But I reinstalled the OS and updated the GPU drivers from lv2go and haven't experienced this issue since.

If you are within the return period I would suggest returning it for an exchange. If not then do a glen install of vista and see if the problem resurfaces.

I love how people's first reaction to any problems they have with their laptops is coming to this forum. It's like everybody knows they will get better help and resolve their problems faster here than calling HP directly.

Does the monitor work during POST? or does it only happen after Windows loads? Give us more of a description on when it is happening, or if as soon as you turn the laptop on the screen is white.

Can it be a corrupt video driver?
