I have a recovery partition on my hp dv6000 that's from when I bought it. It had windows xp on it.
I want to return to xp by using the recovery option, because vista doesnt recognize my broadcom wlan card. I even ordered a new one thinking it was because its broken, but its not since the new one too isnt detected. I tried every driver on hp's site. It doesnt even show up under network cards in the manager, I only have nvidia in there even if I install broadcom.

anyway, i know the partition is still intact. the problem is when i start the computer, i press f11 to go to the recovery, but it doesnt do anything. I flashed the bios to the new version too. is the another way to start up hp's recovery?

Please help me, i like hp but this issues are really bothering me. that and I cant even adjust the brightness of the screen with the new bios flash (using the function and f7/f8... a few other functions key still work).
