The 7400 go card on the dv6000t is probably the best you will get from a HP consumer notebook.

Is the 7400 better than the 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 HyperMemory?

What other aspects does it have that make it a better laptop??

I just checked out the HP site & it seems that the 7400 Go card is now available on the 5000T as well.

I almost pulled the trigger last week on the DV5000T, but the keyboard issues seem to be for real. Even with a warranty, I just did not want to put up with a hassle. Especially when, for a little bit more, the DV6000Z seems to have corrected this issue and initial reviews are awesome.

If you have not read the keyboard posts about the 5000 I encourage you to before purchasing. Many posts are under the 8000 keyboard issue thread. Seems both had like issues.

I purchased the dv5000T last month and so far no keyboard issues...keeping my fingers crossed that they corrected the issue already. If not I'll have to send her in. My only advice would be unless you're planning to do a resinstall of the OS get 20gb more in hard drive space than you think you'll use, as you have to allow for that recovery partition.Wish I had gone with the 100gb. However, I do plan to pick up the xb2000 and 160 gb external drive, so that will solve my problems.

Thanks for all the help everyone!!! I am getting tempted towards the 5000. However I wanted to know about the 128MB NVidia GeForce Go 7400 & the 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 HyperMemory. As far as I know, the X1400 is a better card! Is that true!!

Can someone give me a quick summary of what the keyboard issue is>? I just bought two brand new custom dv5000t's, hopefully they won't have that problem.

I talked to an HP Technician about it online, and he said if you ordered one within the last 2 weeks you SHOULD be safe from t he problem. Then he said I can get a brand new laptop replaced for free if it happens.

Since no one answered, ill have a go. The specs show the X1400 with the better advantage, but the 7400 with 128 dedicated is still a decent card. It will play them at medium settings(this is with CS:S and Halo).
