After spending an hour carefully taking apart my dv6 (and noting where the screws go) to replace the thermal paste and give it a good dustout i've put it back together and everything runs fine, i lost the piece of paper with the color map of the screws (only blue and brown i think?), so something about the screw placement just doesn't seem right, the keyboard has alot of flex and the rear of the cover isnt holding down. if anybody could help with a diagram or a quick explanation of the placement and length of screws that'd be much appreciated. cheers - Cj

I can't remember the exact web site, but if you do a search on DV2000 graphic chip repair (Heat Gun etc) there are several websites that give detailed instruction on how to take apart the computer. In these instructions they give very goog details on screw placement and size
    Hope this helps
