I could see it coming over this year, HP were pushing there products down the line with designs such as the Envy 4.

Other HP branded Pavilion laptops are looking kind of budget now, kind of like a basic Compaq.

The only difference I can see is the model numbers is now 72XX up from a 71XX models, and Windows 8 as standard. Me thinks that is not Envy.

What does this mean for the Pavilion DV6 and DV7, do they now have to be in the Envy section, even though right now they are really not in the Envy class?

Now you can see HP have officially rebadged their Pavilion DV6 and DV7 line as we know as Envy branded laptops.

They have the newer gen 3 cpu's, 2 speakers at the front and missing a 1TB HDD, $2,499 ($1,970 AUD) for an Envy DV7-7202TX ?? What a rip! it's basically the same as my DV7-7008TX that sale here in Aus for around $1300 - 1400.
