So my girlfriend has a DV6255us, and I decided to reformat it (it had a russian version of windows on it and I couldn't read anything it said). I wiped the version of xp her brother put on it and I have my version of XP up and running. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the drivers to get the LAN card working. I have been searching for about an hour. Anybody know where I can get the correct drivers?

Is that the Wireless LAN or Ethernet LAN card?
For Wireless LAN:

For Ethernet LAN:
Normally you don't need any drivers for that, just plug and use, but XP might have the Ethernet port disabled by default, check it in Network Connections. -
I installed the wireless driver already and nothing is showing up under network connections besides the 1394 connection.
-
Go to Device Manager, under Network Adapters, do you see anything that resembles Ethernet connection?
-
All that is under network adapters is 1394 net adapter. Under other devices there is the Network Controller, but I can't find any drivers for it.

Just did another reformat and I got the wireless working, but the wired Ethernet still isn't showing up. Anyone got any clues?

Problem is that I don't know which Ethernet chipset your girlfriend's dv6255us got. I did some search, it seems like your girlfriend's laptop has AMD motherboard and since most WiFi and Ethernet card are embedded to the motherboard, so I would guess the Ethernet chip is from Broadcom, just like the WiFi chip.
Of course, it would be helpful if anyone got the same laptop can confirm this and tell us the exact chipset for the Ethernet.
Anyways, here are the drivers from Broadcom, try the "NetXtreme Desktop/Mobile" first, if that doesn't work, try the others.
