    Hi, Im from Pakistan.

I'm about to buy an HP pavilion notebook, I was set to buy DV6670ee but someone just told me that its a grey product selling Pakistan and the orignal channel product similar to that is DV6544TX.

I know DV6544TX got better specs but Im curious which one is new and fresh model as I couldn't find any info or review on 6544tx.

I want to spend money on latest models so please guide me on this.

    thanks

They belong to the same series - dv6500. The dv6670ee is newer but both models will look and feel the same. The dv6544tx has the better specifications and depending on the price difference I would suggest that over the dv6670.

Both have the 8400M GS. The only difference being the dv6670ee has the T7250 cpu/1GB RAM/ 250GB hard disk while the dv6544tx has the T7300/2GB RAM/ 200GB hard disk.

The full spec list for both laptops...

No miner, just called Marsons and the typo is from HP. it IS geforce 7600 :(
According to another vendor, there is a new version coming dv6744tx and it really is listed on HP website but I'm unable to find specs page. can you help in that regard?

Nah. It cant be. Unless they have the incorrect model number...any dv65xx and newer models have the 8400M. The Go 7600 was not even offered with the dv6500 or the dv6000 series. There are some more typos on the Marsons website, for example the dv2536tx is listed with the Go 7400 which wasnt offered by HP either. Honestly I would believe the specs published by HP rather than the retailer. Although there can be typos on any website, in this case its fairly obvious its from marsons.

I would suggest personally looking at the laptop before you buy if the laptop is available on display at any place near where you live or from any other retailer.

You know what, Wait was pain, I tried everywhere but couldn't find much luck finding my desired HP notebook so instead of waiting for new models or new stocks, i went ahead and bought dv6670ee :) . I know it got T7250 but for the price this was hard to beat + its very latest model aswell.
