    Hello,

I have read several thread about contrast issues and have not been able to find a way to adjust the gamma and contrast settings on my notebook.

The NVIDIA control panel doesn't have these options for me and my screen is just too white. I have spent hours "chatting" with HP and I am not sure that anyone really knows what I am talking about.

I have the latest NVIDIA driver as per the HP website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the typo in the heading!

I have tried a couple of these but every time I try to load the setup I am told the drivers are compatible.

I am running vista ultimate 64-bit.

I am sorry for this trouble but really appreciate your help!

Ok when I follow their instructions I am told that "the up to date driver is already installed"

    Any ideas?

i dont think your following the instructions right. Uninstall the drivers you have at the moment through the device manager and then follow these steps:

    1)First go here http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista64

2)Click the drivers on the top 169.12, then it will open up a thread.

3)Download the driver first once its finished unzip it somewhere

4)Now go back to the 169.12 driver thread, and download the Modded .inf file (the button is right next to the driver download button)

5)Save this .inf file into the folder where you saved the drivers. It will ask you if you want to overwrite it. Click YES

6)Now run the .exe file in the drivers folder or you can do it through the device manager aswell

This is wonderful! I got it to work! Is it possible that this could cut my battery life in half though? I am pretty sure it is.

Nopes, unless your playing games that when these drivers really come into play. No way these drivers could cut the battery life in half.

I get an average of hour and a half on my 6cell battery and ive been using laptop2go drivers for a long time. I seem to get the same battery times as everyone else.

So would it be bad to use these if I do some gaming, like Oblivion?

    No.. why would it be?

Gaming drains alot of battery as the cpu and gpu gets worked out.
