I am having some problems with my Pavilion built-in Webcam. Notebook: DV6971US, OS: Windows Vista
-When i run YouCam, the system displays a message that No video device detected.
-Imaging Devices is not listed in the Device Manager.
-There is an unknown device under the USB controllers from the Device Manager.
I contacted an online technician and i have tried:
-Updating the BIOS ( ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39001-39500/sp39158.exe)
-Updating Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH8 ( ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36491.exe). The second time i updated ICH8, the systems displays an error message that i don't have the minimum requirements
-Updating the Webcam drivers ( ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34746.exe)
-Full recovery to factory settings.
None seems to work.
Any suggestions to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.
