Ok, had a friend reformat my dv1000 for me, he didn't put ANY drivers on it and now I need some. I'm not sure which ones I need and how to get them. I have a 1.8 core duo, the intel graphics card, intel wireless card, I think that once i have it connected to the net I might be able to just rightclick on the hardware parts and update the drivers that way but I could be wrong. I've tried to get the drivers for the network cards to work but thus far I've only proven to be a n00b.

Heres what to do, go to HP.com

    Click on Drivers and Downloads

    Type in DV1000

then select XP as your OS,

you will be brought to a page with all the updated drivers for the notebook, I suggest as you did a clean install, as it sounds that you should download all of them.

After that be sure to go to Microsoft Update and update the drivers.

    Hope this helps
