I have an issue with a hp pavilion dv1000. The screen is always black right from the point when I turn the unit on. However, under good lighting I could very, very faintly see the windows xp logo during boot...I tried two inverters, and I even bought a new screen, but that did not fix the issue. Everything else is working properly, I don't know what could be causing this! The screen just went blank one day.

Would anyone have any suggestions or know where I could locate any schematics for the unit?

Stuck lid switch. It's common in the dv2000's. FunnyX wrote up a great tutorial on how to fix it on that machine. I don't know where the switch is on dv1000's. Anyone?
