Anyone know when the dv4 may come stateside? It is released in India, and it pairs a 6750M with SB in a 14 inch form factor. M14x compertitor or what? I think it would be a perfect laptop for me, I just don't know when it will come here. Thanks!

HP is currently having a sale on the dm4, a free upgrade to 6GB of RAM and they removed the integrated graphics option, and there is a 25% off coupon. Don't know if it means anything but maybe they are readying the dv4?

Posibly. I'll be purchasing a laptop soon, and if the price is right, this would be it.

It should. Don't the SB procs all come with an integrated graphics chip?

Where did you see about the backlit keyboard??

I really want to see if there is the option for the 6750, it could be actually my next computer...

It was on the HP preorder page that someone had linked to in a different topic, I don't remember how to get there though.

HP also says that the dv4 features the newest AMD processors. Wonder if that means Llano?

Edit: Link that shows optional backlit keyboard

I don't see the AMD mentioned in that link. What?
    Or did HP edit it?

Probably. HP is usually pretty good about their release dates once they set them

I think they will. They already released it elsewhere, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

It's out, but not 6750m. Disappointing. There's no AMD version either, so I'm hoping that they'll add it later.

Looks nice, I like the blue. I specced one nicely loaded for ~$830. I paid a little more for my two year old dv4t.

Apart from graphics card option, what's the difference over the dm4x? Seems a bit redundant to have two 14" models so close, especially with revised Envy models on the way.

wow, with only integrated graphics in the DV4 for the US I'm not really seeing the point of it versus the dm4 which is only marginally more expensive for a lot more hardware power. Major fail IMO.

    -720p
    -starts at $730

    Mid Range Dv4
    -Core i5 SB
    -Integrated Intel 3000
    -3 GB standard
    -720p

I think it's amusing that the dv4 the rest of the world gets is a power house compared to the budget crap filled one we are getting in the US.

I think they're going to add it some time later.. Otherwise there would seem to be no point in having 4 14" laptops in their lineup.
