    Pavilion dv4000 Questions

    I got my First laptop Hp Pavilion dv4131 and have some questions i hope i find answers here
    1-when i open CD Driver door the door not pop out completely
    i have to grab it by hand to put the CD and if it have CD in it it pop out smaller than if they not have CD IS THIS NORMAL?Or the CD Drive have some problem?

    2-as it preconfigured laptop the Hard disk come with it is 4200 rpm is it worth money to buy another one with 5400 rpm or the difference of performance is not big?

    3- the model i got is hp pavilion dv4131ea IS ea mean something?
    4- is all pavilion dv4000 series have 915 chipset?

    It is worth your time to upgrade the hard drive to 5400 rpm, you will see a very large performance increase.

    The CD drawer on laptop drive only pops out a little cause it uses a spring whereas a desktop drive use gears or belts to push the tray out.

    1 - It is quite normal. As zazonz said and given the space restrictions they just come out little and you"ll have to pull it out fully.

    2 - Yes, I think it will increase performance to a large extent, but it might not be immediately noticable.

    3 - dv4xxxEA - model specific to be sold in Europe, dv4xxxUS - specific for the US and so on...

    4 - I think it does, but to be certain try CPU-Z . It is pretty good in getting info on the chipset, processor, memory etc..
