Hi all, I'm a very new HP laptop owner and I've been reading these forums for the past few days and I keep getting soo confused. I have the HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx Entertainment PC with A8-Vision and Quad Core with Dual Graphics. I'm not sure what one it is considered when reading all the threads like dv6x/z/t/everyoverletter. I tried googleing and searching forums, but I still cannot figure it out.

And I guess while I'm at it, is there anything I should know about this model? I've been trying to config it to the best performance it can be (mostly for watching videos and gaming), but I'm also very confused with how everything runs in this laptop. I'm new to HP laptops and new to Windows 7.

Any help/suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Great! Thank you so much! I'll be doing a lot more research now that I know what it is considered. Hopefully I'll be able to find the right ways to configure my laptop for the best video/audio performance.

If anyone else wants to comment on any specifics I can do to make it the best it can be or anything else that's pretty much a needs-to-know or whatever, I'll take whatever I can get. I'm pretty confused when it comes to running/tinkering/playing with options in the AMD Vision Engine Control Center, so any suggestions or pointing me in the right direction to finding the best threads would be awesome.

I'm mostly looking for how to optimize video quality, either watching it on Firefox/Youtube or in programs on the laptop. I kind of want to watch some TV shows, every now and then, so if anyone with suggestions about any programs to download or sites I should stick to I'll love you long time lol. I'll also be using this laptop to mix music every now and then, nothing too serious, just a hobby kind of thing I've been doing.

    Thanks! =)

Do you know if the battery for a 9 cell battery sticks out? or props the laptop up? I couldn't find any pictures of it.
I was hoping to get a 9 cell battery to be able to run my laptop for 8hours or so.
