I have had this laptop for two weeks and I have heard stellar reviews on its gaming potential both from bestbuy.com and members of this forum. However, I have had less a less than stellar time. When I run crysis it only runs at 20 to 30 fps whether it is in 720p low or high settings. Furthermore dawn of war 2 seems to be quite laggy at the native resolution with medium settings. In mafia 2 I get an average fps of 30 in the ingame benchmark at the native resolution with low settings. Based upon the specifications of the 6750m, having crossfire, and the specs of the laptop, I was expecting a higher performance. I am running the laptop in the high performance energy plan, and I have selected the high performance setting in the crossfire/powerplan in the AMD Vision Control Engine for each app. Could someone please help me. I feel as if my laptop could be a lemon. Any suggestions would please be helpful.

    Hi there!

Check to make sure that the games that you're playing are set to "high performance" in the switchable graphics section of AMD catalyst control center. Also, make sure that your laptop is on "HP recommended, or Performance mode" power setting.

Some times you need to disable crossfire to maximize performance because of a lack of polished crossfire profile.

Start there and let us know how it goes.
