Hello, I recently faced a problem with my HP Pavilion dv6500 laptop.

OS: Vindows Vista Home Premium SP1

Well, the thing is that the DVD ROM won't read any CD... On the other hand it reads DVDs normally. The DVD rom is a Pioneer DVDRW DVR-K17B ATA Device.

The problem occured after burning an audio cd.

I thought of updating the device bios but I could not find any suitable bios through the HP and Pioneer website.

Do you maybe have any ideas of solving the problem??

    Thank you in advance!! :)

Try a different burning program and a new batch of cd's
