    Pavilion dv6645us firewire doesnt work

    hi, i have a notebook dv6645us and i dont know why, but the firewire doesnt fork, today i formated the hardisk, and when i install again the drivers, the firewire port doesnt work, here there is a photo about a problem

    i dont know but i have a unknow hardware at the hardware administration
    how can i fix this?

    The firewire drivers should be coupled with the memory card reader driver. Since your running XP, its probably just a missing driver.

    in another times, i install windows xp, and the firewire works without install any drivers, you know, i install this drivers and nothing happend

    Update XP to sp3.

    Also try uninstalling the firewire device and reloading it in the device manager
