So I see there's a "steel grey" color option for the DV6 on HP's US website. Has anyone seen these babes in action? Can
t seem top find a single pic of it on the web. Any word if these are coming outside the States?

yes... there is an option for a steel grey color for the dv6 laptops... but they haven't been advertised or famous at all... instead the dark umber (black brown) color has been superbly famous... I think even HP didn't want to promote the steel grey color because it doesn't support the new cool features in HP laptops, ex. the neon ring around the touchpad and also the HP logo on the laptop lid..... the dark brown color is in perfect contrast with these giving the laptop an awesome cool look...!

I've been curious about this as well. The steel grey looks pretty nice on the HP web site but it's just a small stock image, anyone have a good picture of one?

I still feel the 'dark umber' color looks cooler and smarter...!

I prefer the Steel Grey, dark colours are ubiquitous on laptops

I dig the steel gray. I *hate* the paisley etched design on the Envy. Sooo tacky.

And, i really hope that you are wrong about the illumination on the touchpad and logo. Talked to a HP tech service rep, and he said that it shouldn't be any different. But then again, HP reps usually don't know what they are talking about....

The HP logo does light up and the neon trackpad light is functional on both colors of the laptop.
