    Hi there,
    I would like to get a new hard drive mainly external disk drive. of around 1-2 TB.. I was wondering what would be a good drive .Not interested in SSD.. I'm interested in speed.! in your opinion what drives would you guys recommend?

    Basically if you're looking for speed you want to get a hard disk that is 7200 RPM instead of the regular 5400 RPM, if you google "Hard disk 2TB 7200 RPM ebay" you'll find great HDD's for around 90-150$

    Sorry about the delay..I have decided to go internal disk drive instead of external..but the problem that I am having is that I contacted Hewlett Packard in reference to WD black 750GB 7200 rpm. The tech support guy said that I cannot upgrade my HDD. in my Laptop. yet I read my tutorial and it says that I can install a 500gb 7200rpm.thanks for the replies

    Does that drive have dual HDD bays? As long as the dimension matchss and sata connector it should fit. I don't get it you said you have a 750 in it now but talking about a 500? So which one is inside the laptop and are we talking ext or internal now?
