Hi, my laptop turns power on but the power led begins to blink and doesn't make anything. I was letting the power on for a minutes, then turned back on and most of the time worked but right now the failure is permanent, I can leave the laptop turned on for days, the power led blinks all the time and doesn't work anymore...

If someone has an idea of what component could be I would appreciate it.

    please help!!
    Thanks

Of that series, likely the Nvidia GPU. Would need a motherboard replacement.

See my posting: HP DV2000 et al: May be A Solution To Overheating

If you replace the motherboard you will probably have the same problem later on.
I sent mine to a rebuilder, and awaiting its return. I don't want to give you a recommendation, because I am not sure of his work. He charges a dollar for diagnosis, has good test equipment and has a crusty website. He po po's the heatgun treatment that you see on You tube. He also provides a 3 or 4 month warranty. I had a good feeling about him, but that was from the gut. However he had a 99 % ebay which helped my decision. Send me a PM and I will provide site
