    Pavilion laptop battery charging

    ze4610 will not charge battery. Has anyone repaired this issue on the motherboard or would know where on the MB to diagnose this?

    Check this out. Soldering a new jack to the Mb is more difficult.

    the problem isnt the jack. i have replaced that months ago. The laptop works fine on AC power. But doesnt actually charge like it says. and will not run off batteries, it will just shut off. I have researched and the batteries are good enough to run off of. It has to do with the charging system of the laptop

    A charging circuit on the system board. Normally of course, replacing the system board would be the option.

    where at on the motherboard is the charging circuit? when searching parts on HP's website i get this for my laptop.
