Hi, I've upgraded my dv6095 to Vista Ultimate, installed all drivers off hp.com and everything works fine except my remote. I have quick launch buttons 6.10c installed. Can anyone help

I believe the remote is a physical extension of keyboard and not part of the QL buttons, if nothing works, you could always buy one from hp.com for around $20.

Not exactly! The QuickLaunch Buttons drivers work for the remote. I had this issue (remote not working) once before and I re-installed the QLB drivers. The remote worked fine after that.

likearocket: silly thing, but check the remote battery. try replacing it.

Already tried battery, bought a new one! Tried a mates remote from his dv6000 and that worked, so definately my remote is knackered. :( Unfortunately, notebook is 3 months out of warranty, so don't think hp would replace remote now. Time for a google search for a new remote then.... :(

Try reinstalling your conextant audio drivers with updated or outdated drivers.. These drivers actually control the Quick launch buttons up top and im guessing it might utilize the remote control aswell.

Guys, I had the exact same problem, for some reason just stopped working.

As a last resort I unplugged the laptop from everything and also pulled the battery out of the COMPUTER (not remote) left it for a couple of minutes and she was up and WOKRING AGAIN. This fix has worked for another person I know as well.

    Good Luck.
