Paviloin is a full blown multimedia machine with better speakers, screen etc. than the nx series.

The Pavilion would b faster, but the nx would b lighter and more compact thus more mobile and business use.

No difference performance wise given the same specifications on both laptops. The difference between the consumer and the business mainly revolves around the styling, TPM modules, finger print readers. The screens are also buil with business consumers. There are only a couple of widescreen models but the rest are normal aspect ratio screens. The build quality is also slightly better than their consumer as they might(in some models) use better materials like certain alloys instead of polycarbonate plastic. The warranty serivices are also a step above those of the consumer models.

If you are a home user the consumer lines are sufficient if you are buying it purely for business use then consider the business line.
