    Hi everyone,
My friend have a HP Pavillion 6000. Today, for some reasons, his laptop can not turn on. When I pressed the power button, I can see the fan and the light running about 10sec and it suddenly turn off. I havent seen it come into the bios.
I have tried to remove the RAM to put it another pair and it did not work. I also clean up the dust in the fan to make sure it is not overheated.
Is that possible that the motherboard is dead or is it just another faulty video card?
His warranty just ran out last week :(.
    Thank you for any comments.

Would you have it any other way? Try re-seating the hard drive and the memory sticks sticks one slot at a time. Could pull the battery and hold the power button in for 30 seconds.

    hey ZaZ,
I even cant go to the bios, so Idk if it is the HDD problem.
I did remove the battery for a while and restart the computer a few times.

Check this recall list. If its in the list, you can send it for repairs even if your original warranty has expired.
