Hi, I'm pretty new in that forum. I actually have a Alienware but my baby has a Pavillion DV6 1100SO.
It's working ok, but it get so so hot! and for sure the fan are really hectics :)
There are something to do, one can of trick, fix or something? I'm going to buy her a fan dock, like antec, etc...

I'm thinking maybe to remove the cloth from the vento holes, the one that protect it from dust. I did it with my Alienware and it works.

    Thanks.

P.S. I use the search option, I didnt find anything related with that model.

I have to add, that have a AMD processor, I know that they are a "bit" warmer, but that is a bit too much :)

#1. Blow dust out of fans.
    #2. Undervolt.

    Enough said.

    what GPU does it have?

You should probaly take it apart and check the thermal paste.

    Hi all.
Well, I had on the laptop for 10 min , idle, just opera running and skype running, and the temp of the CPU hit the 70C - 72C. The video card dont know, cause I'm using the HWMonitor, NOT the pro.

About the unvolt, there are any HOW TO?
And about the re apply thermal paste, any guide?

    AMD Turion X2 RM-75
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 512MB

    Thanks

Check blackshard's TurionPowerControl thread, everything you need is there.

The procedure does not differ from a desktop computer. There's just more things to take apart. :p

If the air coming out of the laptop exhaust is warm, it most likely won't need new thermal paste. Undervolting should be enough.

I think there is a guide for the dv6000 or one of the other models..but applying the thermal paste is the same as you would in a Desktop.
