    It shouldn't matter that the notebook has been discontinued, they should still have the parts for this unit. At least I know Toshiba keeps stock of older/discontinued notebooks. You can take it to a service centre and have them order the part, but since it's no longer under warranty, it'll cost quite a bit for the overall repairs. You may be able to have them order the part for you and replace it yourself.
