In the gaming and software forum, we are having a bit of a debate what the 2600 HD and XT are comparable to. If you have either the HDX or 8510p or have ordered it, could you please run a benchmark and a gaming comparison please?

    Here is the debate

No one has gotten an 8510p. I don't believe they've shipped yet.

I'd love it if the HD 2600 (GDDR3 of course!) was a match for the 8600 GT GDDR3, but it may only match up to the DDR2 version. Based on some benchmarks I've seen of the XT, it was better than the 8600 GT GDDR3 by a few hundred points (not much? I dunno).

Of course as the only difference between the XT and regular versions of the 2600 are the clock speeds, should be easy to fix

I have the HDX. Don't feel like messing with benchmarks though, sorry. :)

MY 8510p is supposed to be shipping around monday or tuesday  And, yes, if no benchmarks are up when I get my laptop I will provide some. Both before and after my upgrades. I got only 1 GB RAM and a 120 GB HD, upgrading to 4 GB RAM (only have 32 bit XP Pro though) and a 7k200. The benchmarks will literally be the first thing I do with this laptop due to the high demand. Again, if someone gets their's first and posts, then I won't run them.

I'll get my HP 8510p the 21th of September, quite excited how it will perform with my games of my wishlist (World in conflict, Call of duty 4 and Company of heroes OF). When I have the laptop I'll make some videos for you guys, just be patient and wait another month :D
