    Just purchased a used HP 1130US. Thought it was a good price until I checked out DVD.

    It is recognized in windows xp home and will eject from software. When inserting any disc it will not start.

    My experience level is low to low - med so any thing is helpful.

    I loaded everything I could find from the HP website and still no help. If I have to replace can anyone recommend a good model/vendor/price

    maybe you can clarify a little bit ....
    what do you intend to say with " it does not start " ?

    does the autoplay for the dvd not work, or does it not read any cd´s or dvd´s ?

    and maybe you should remove your email from your post....
    if you will get questions answered here in the forum you don´t need to post your emailadress here. bad people can just ad your email adress to their spam bot´s.
