    I am using the drivers from the HP website for the audio card...

    I plug in an external microphone and I do not hear myself coming out of the speakers... I checked all the configurations and it appears right....

    The mic works because I tested it on other equipment.

    When i use the windows vista sound control panel to test it, i see that the meter adjusts when i talk into the mic, but I dont hear any sound ... help.. I hear other sounds like mp3s and such but no mic volume. Its not muted either!
