    Please Help Pavilion TX1000 with Win 7 install

    Ok so a friend of mine brought in this notebook to work and asked me to take a look at it because it won't detect any wireless networks. Looking through the device manager I don't see the wireless card. HP only lists Vista and XP drivers but neither seem to work with win 7. Thanks for any help.

    If you don't at least see a yellow ! mark in Device Manager, odds are the NVIDIA chipset is going bad. Wireless disappearing is one of the early symptoms of chipset failure.
