Hello, I have the following problem. After resizing the original C:\ partition on NC6320 I created another primary partition for another copy of XP system and SUSE linux (the owner wanted to have three bootable partitions). Then I used owner's own XP installation CDs with slipstreamed SP2 and hotfixes; I just added nc6320 SATA drivers and some development tools to his unattended installation CDs.
The installation was without problem but the F11 recovery option is now lost.
The HP recovery partition is still there, intact. The original primary bootable partition is also intact and working.
What have I done wrong? Is it possible to reenable F11 recovery option during startup?
The notebook is not mine and I don't feel comfortable with the issue in question. I would greatly appreciate your help and suggestions if there is any way to reenable F11 option.
Thank you,
geos

Oh great, then I'll probably have the same problem because I installed Windows XP after the Vista Home Premium they give us. Damn, had I known, I would have made a backup of that MBR.
Can fdisk /mbr and fixmbr be of any use here?
We need to have someone upload a copy of his MBR. -
