    I will be using it for basic activity with some gaming and blu-ray watching. I ordered it on the 15th so im obviously still waiting for it.

    the rating always depends on price paid :) Not a bad configuration at all, depending on exactly what you're going to be using it for. I'm wondering about the 8600M GS video card. I have an XPS M1530 with the 8600M GT 256mb card (DDR3) and it plays the latest games alright at medium quality, just curious what the performance hit is on the GS vs. GT.

    the gs will not play crysis but other games should run. crysis will not runa t optimal settings. low settings on 1280* 800 res.
