Pls continue to highlight the SG issue for all potential buyers to see at
HP Pavilion dv6 and dv6t Quad Edition series | HP Official Store
Be mindful not to use foul language or threaten legal action though as your review won't be posted otherwise.
Thanks!

Hopefully HP will realize their folly and rectify the situation so that everyone can be happy. There's some really great deals going on lately for the dv6t/dv7t, but as it stands right now, no matter how good the deals are, the switchable graphics issue is one huge elephant in the room that HP needs to quickly address. -
At first I was fine and didn't want to one rate the dv6 because the switchable graphics wasn't affecting me. HOWEVER, i found a game that I really want to play "spiral knights" and I can't because it's opengl...
All hell has broken loose. -
Even for those of you that only run DirectX, pls take 5 mins to post your review. You will at some point come across a program that relies on OpenGL. Do it just so that at least we can highlight the problem for a fix that ensures we have a fully functioning laptop not just for now, but also for the future. -
Also, don't forget to rate up one star reviews so they rise to the top.
-
Just wondering, can you update your review/rating later. If not, it would be unfair for HP once the switchable graphics problem is solved.
I definitely understand that we need to make a bold point, and this is a good way to do it. Good luck

Guys, I don't have a DV6T/7Y but I work in marketing and nothing worries these guy more than bad social press. These reviews don't really mean much. What you guys need to do is:
1. Blow up their facebook wall. I mean really rally up as a group and respectfully complain. Possibly do the same on twitter and include a hash tag.
2. A day or two later someone needs to put together a community press release with the problem + #1 and send it off to engadget, gizmodo, etc.
If you guys organize this well enough, HP/ATI will respond. -
-
-
And how would we go about posting on their wall? Do we post comments under their wall posts? -
Looks like somebody should have started this thread before i decided to purchase the notebook 4 days ago.
-
-
Read the sticky. Chances are this problem may not even affect you.
-
i gave it a 2 star rate. just couldnt bring myself to do 1 star, since i otherwise like it a lot. but my comments are all about the lack of opengl, so hopefully that will still help?

Thats their official. Probably the only one that they pay attention to.
And to answer your 2nd question, no, posting under their posts would attract the least. Chances are, they read those FAR less frequently than ones posted directly to their wall.
But I think Twitter would hit them harder. It seems most companies and celebrities pay more attention to Twitter than Facebook, but maybe thats just something that I notice.
By far tho, the online press idea would be the most effective. If a news outlet gets a hold of something like this, HP WILL hear about it. -
-
I tried engadget - wrote a news tip off for them. No reply. We need a critical mass to push the issue into the open. And I think Facebook and Twitter would be most effective - problem is I use neither (I know, Im a bit cave man-ish!)
So all of you that have Twitter and Fbook pls tweet/post away! -
The rating is now down to 3.7/5.0 and the top two "most helpful" reviews are 1 stars. Although HP probably won't even notice, I think it does a good job of warning potential buyers.

This problem only applies to the new 61XX models correct?
-

Score now down to 3.6. Has anyone tweeted or posted on facebook out of interest?
Pls continue to 1 rate the DV6/7T on the HP website - rating has moved from 4.7 - 3.9 in the past few days
