    Ello all!

I own a dv5t. I am just noticing this now.

My battery will not charge. It says plugged in, not charging. The light by the plug in is lit up. I never had this problem before.

    Try this:

    1) Turn the machine off

    2) Pop out the battery, unplug the AC power and all other external devices

    3) Hold the power button for 30 seconds

    4) Now boot up using AC power only

    5) Insert battery when windows is fully loaded

It happened to me on my first recharge, because i had been playing with it all day. It happens because the laptop gets too hot and the battery's internal thermal sensor cuts off charging so the battery doesn't catch fire. Shut down the laptop and the battery will charge.
