yes the R3000T would be suffiecent if u configure it with the 9600, its really not all that different from my Zx5000, except the cosmetic changes and the harmon kardon speakers. are you going to order a 7200 RPM Hardrive or 5400RPM?

u have the same specs as my Zx5000

I really dont have a chpice because the 7200 RPM hardrive isnt available for the R3000T, but I am getting the 80 GB 5400 RPM, and maybe some last moment changes, is the ZX5000 any better than the R3000T ?, I know about the speakers and everything, but isnt the ZX series kinda ugly..........( no offense [ ;)]).....

Actually the main thing I liked about the zx5000 series, was the look of it. I hate the compaq styles and actually hate the Toshibas/IBM also because of the look.

I guess its really personal preference. But, when I see them in person, I'm always drawn to the zx5000/zd7000 style. I like the rounded edge especially, and the grey top. I can't imagine having my wrists on some of the Toshibas...

    HP zx5000 - Ordered 8/15, shipped 8/21 !!, est. delivery 24th - P4 3.0HT, XP Home - 15.4" Widescreen/Brightview WXGA - 128mb ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 - 512MB SDRAM (1x512) - 60GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive - DVD/CD-RW Drive - 54g Integ Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN & Bluetooth - 12 Cell Battery = $1577
