    Hi,
Some of us (including me!) would prefer to have less heat on the HDD left palm rest area. I found this product while searching browsing today.
    http://www.rehabmart.com/product/8308.htm

It seem to made by 3M and heat resistant. Has anyone tried it? Seems to be discontinued and very hard to find...

Interesting, unless it causes your HD to heat up even more.

Looks like pad is much thicker, may interfere with closing the lid.
I am not that much worried about the HD heating anymore, I do not think it is dissipiating major heat from palm rest.

There used to be couple of PCMCIA slot cooler, and looks like no one is making that product anymore. :(

Well, those pads are removable and I don't think it's a good idea to left it on when closing lid.
Also, I also agree it might increase the HDD temp and we should do something to dispense the heat underneath the laptop (which I have a cooler for that).

I would be interested in a fan that runs on PCMIA. There probably isn't such thing, just an idea.

That's a VERY sick idea. Don't see any reasonable market for those pads : )
