I have a monitor that I would like to try using my Intel HD to play movies. Cuz I have the Ency I have the choice of AMD 5650 or Intel HD. How do I select the HD when using extended desktop? If I go to Switchable Graphics I see the Power Saving (Intel HD) and Max Performance (AMD) but in Extended I can not switch to Intel's chip. The only way I am able to use Intel HD is if I am using only my laptop's screen. Why?

The monitor output might be connected directly to the AMD graphics card. On my Sony laptop with nVIDIA switchable graphics, the VGA port can be used with both Intel and nVIDIA graphics cards, but the HDMI port can only be used with the nVIDIA card.

Thanks. That's exactly what I thought. I connect my Envy to monitor via Display Port and my only choice is AMD chip.
