Hey folks, im new here. so hi!
im currently trying to get a DV9000t specced up to 'roughly' $2300 US. (Roughly $2700 AUS)
Now to my dismay, HP doesnt ship to Australia.
so then i realised. DUH hp.com.au. uhuh, NO good old HP australia there best laptop is the dv8300 STARTING at $2999+postage+i would have to configure it up to Well over $3400.
so you see my problem. i have my heart set on the DV9000t, but i cant get it to aussieland through HP.
so i went and checked costco, with a link i found in another thread. exact same problem. no international shipping.
so are there any companies that WILL ship it to me? or will collect it then ship it to me? i really dont want to pay that kinda $$ for a lesser model.

Don't know of anyone that ships to Oz. Thought maybe HP Canada but it appears that they don't offer the 9000 there either. But anyway I would be kind of leary about buying a model not offered in your country. The warranty may not carry over and if something happens to it you might find yourself up a creek.

I think "Ned" is the owner, They said they are a HP authorized dealer... so they should be able to get any HP I'd think.

As a SUGGESTION Dilerto.... If I was YOU, I'd look into the BUSINESS models of HP... there are some models which spec out VERY good, plus I would think that you'd has less "issues /hassles" about getting warranty service on a BUSINESS model.... -
Suggest you research, (go to HP.com and make note of the various model numbers you'd be interested in) then go to:
http://www.pricegrabber.com/
http://www.bensbargains.net/
http://www.bensbargains.net/
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/categories.php?NoCookie=Yes&catid=18
Type in the model number and see if you can find some vendors.
Keep in mind a business model will be the way to go if warranty, or repair service is needed... -
And don't forget to save some money for Customs duty which will bring it up to what you would pay in OZ for the unit.

I too would like to know how to obtain a HP Laptop from North America. Im looking for a DV2000/DV6000t with a T7200 CPU. Currently, we are only offered T5500.

But the dv9000t is available in Australia already.

It's the dv6000t that ends up having really poor specs without T7200 option. HP has very limited presence in Australia it seems because everyone I know uses a Toshiba, Asus or Dell.
Postage to Australia.
