Got a quick question here.. My power adapter makes a buzzing noise when plugged into an outlet. Is that normal or should I call HP and try to get it replaced? I have a, what i think is related, problem with the sound from my headphones. When I plug the adapter in the headphones get static in them.
I'm leaning towards trying to get it replaced, but I don't know how I would convince them that that is what it is. It is such a pain to get them to the point when you already know the problem... And then they always want you to send the whole laptop in, which I would rather not do...
Anyway, any ideas?

so the actual power brick is making a buzzing noise?
that should definitely be replaced
its probably a fire hazard -
Stop using it immediately and call HP for a replacement. They should just send you a replacement and not ask for the whole laptop.

Yes it is the power brick.. Okay I will give them a call.
Edit: Okay i called them and they are sending a new power adapter.. Pretty fast and easy, score for HP. -
Okay well I got a new adapter and it makes the noise too... Sometimes it is loud sometime you have to put it to your ear to hear it... I've since tried listening to other people's adapters and noticed that they all have some sort of buzz, just mine was a little louder at times.
I still have a bit of a buzz in my headphones when the laptop is plugged in, and I don't know what is up with that, but it usually isn't too bad so I've been able to live with it... But if anyone has any ideas let me know... -
its just interference from something
