I have purchased a dv7 4000 series, that I use as my main computer. It is plugged in 95% of the time. I use it for gaming as well.

What are the best power options - HP Recommended or High Performance?

    Thanks, in advance

If its plugged in High Performance, I forget what the exact tune settings HP was using when I had myne but I don't think it was harmful plugged in, just when u switched to battery. So Id say either.

I would only change it if I was on battery to make a compromise in battery life for uptime.
